Tailoring is one of the most important skills in the crafting business and requires the dedication to constantly seek out new recipes that can be very difficult to acquire. Because tailors are limited to making cloth and leather items, they have to be very aware of what ingredients are required for them - being knowledgeable of your craft will save you a lot of time and wow gold.
Be wary of the Bind on Pick-up items, or "BOP" for short. These items bind to your character when they enter your inventory and cannot be sold to other players. They can, however, be sold to vendors, or disenchanted if that is one of your primary skills.
Bind on Equip, or "BOE" for short, can be sold and traded to other characters as long as you have not equipped it onto your character. Once a BOE item has been equipped, it is permanently bound to your character, and can only be sold to a vendor or disenchanted if that one of your primary skills. BOE items can also be sold in the auction house, especially the PVP gears, which allows tailors with a good source of wow gold- be sure not to ridiculously overprice your items, though.

What you shouldn't do is go to the auction house and buy up all the patterns because you saw them in this guide. Read through the guide, and judge which patterns are conducive to your level and make your choice from there. By doing this, you will save yourself from needlessly wasting your time and wow gold.
