People usually think that by farming the end game content they can make a lot of gold. That is only true under certain circumstances. In order to make money easy and fast, you need to think differently. The LOTRO gold guide I use taught me that farming lower level crafting resources can most times bring you more money than anything else. Low level materials are always needed and people have money to get them, because everyone has a capped level character.
A very important thing I have learned from the LOTRO gold guide that use is that space is everything. Don’t go farming if you have your inventory 20% full with other stuff. Go to a vault keeper, put them all in there and then go farming. Make sure you have at least four of your bags completely empty. That way you won’t have to destroy anything.
The spot I was talking about is located in Bree-Land. South of Combe and East of the Combe Gate in Bree you will find some ruins, The Crumbled Court. Inside the ruins and around it there are level 8 to 10 bears. When inside the ruins, you should see some dens a little to the left. Kill bears as you go towards the den and then go back to the entrance of the ruins through the little valley from where you picked berries. Each cycle like this can be completed in about 10 to 13 minutes by a level 10-11 character and you will get roughly 30 Light Hides. A full stack of 100 hides will sell for around 200 silver pieces and within 24 hours.
If you use that spot at a higher level, you can easily make 200 light hides in less than one hour. Not too bad considering you don’t has to pay that much for repairs plus you can sell a lot of trash loot. If it weren’t for the LOTRO gold guide to open my eyes to every gold opportunity in LOTRO, I would be still begging for some gold. If you want to have gold to buy the best legendary weapons and crafted items, consider using a LOTRO gold guide.
